The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the meeting called to order at 7:00 pm.
Chairman Gerald Luke stated that all officers were present and the notices placed in
Jerry Luke read the vouchers. Gerry Mikula made a motion to approve the vouchers as
read. Bob Lepper seconded, motion carried.
Bob Lepper made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Gerry Mikula
seconded, motion carried.
Public Comment: None
A presentation from the Chequamegon School District was given by Mark Luoma, Lexi
Witt, Adam Hoffman, Dick Ross & Carl Mattke. A visual overhead and hand-outs were
used to explain each step of the consolidation, budgeting, state aids, mill rate figures,
state/county & forest land and the large tax increases to the audience. They presented
both their roles and efforts to hold down expenses and pay off existing debts. Several
questions were asked from the audience. After much discussion, Jerry Luke and Dick
Ross encouraged letters to be written to State Representatives to make changes. The
board thanked them all for coming.
Jerry Luke read his Committee recommendations for Flowage Road. A meeting will be
posted for Wed. February 23, 2010 at 10:00 am for anyone interested in the committee for
the safe use for vehicles and snowmobiles.
Patricia Matula gave the remaining balance in the Donation committee's account. She
would like to research signage for the outside of the new building, above the Fire Dept.
doors facing the highway and the Town Hall entry doors. Bob Lepper made a motion to
proceed with pricing for lettering. Gerry Mikula seconded, motion carried.
Jerry Luke read the Uniform Dwelling Code resolution. Gerry Mikula made a motion to
adopt the resolution. Bob Lepper seconded, motion carried.
Bob Lepper made a motion to table to our 22nd monthly meeting the APAR Agreement.
Gerry Mikula seconded, motion carried. Jerry Luke will contact the attorney.
The conditional use permit for Lee & Melody Schowalter had not gone before the
Planning Commission yet. Bob Lepper made a motion to table until the Planning
Commission meets and makes a recommendation. Gerry Mikula seconded, motion
Gerry Mikula made a motion to grant the bartenders license to Marlene Anderson. Bob
Lepper seconded, motion carried.
CLERK - Gail Sprangers announced there were no elections until April.
TREASURER - Janet Gutknecht read the financial statement as of January 31, 2010.
CHAIRMAN - Jerry Luke stated those interested in being on a committee to study the
Flowage Rd. safety issue should attend meeting.

The Woodcarvers will meet at 7:00 pm on February 18, 2010. He gave a remembrance to
Alice Esterl who passed away recently.
SUPERVISOR - Bob Lepper attended a meeting at the Park Falls High School for Bus
Crash Procedures. It was started about 6 months ago and is now finalized. The weekly
foreman's report has been sent to Gail via e-mail.
SUPERVISOR - Gerry Mikula stated the next Iron County Recycling meeting will be
February 17 at 5:00 pm. Also the board will attend a meeting with the Mercer school
board on the same date at 6:00 pm.
COUNTY - Jerry Luke stated that at the January 26th meeting the new land & water plan
for the county was approved. $250.00 will be given to each Recycling site for
snowplowing and a camera has been received. The next LCC meeting will be in March.
FIRE DEPT - Paul Gottwald stated they were training hard.
FIRST RESPONDERS - Carol Matson stated there were two calls since last meeting.
They are busy doing recertification classes.
PLANNING COMMISSION - Bob Lepper stated there will be a meeting upcoming for the
CUP, and his term will expire in April.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS/PUBLIC COMMENT - Jerry Luke stated agenda was not on
website due to his error. Gail asked that the Liquor License Ordinance which has been
revised be placed on next meeting agenda. Jerry Luke thanked everyone for coming.
